Welcome A New Year and New You
Congratulations to 2012 and yes it represents a new
beginning for each of us and the world community. When the clock ticked to
midnight, we all turned the calendar and here we are in 2012 and enjoying every
minute of it.
People all over the world are happy because we can mutually
agree, 2011 was as tough as it gets. With natural disasters, economic upheaval,
political posturing, job loss, mortgage default and sadly, lost of hope. Happy New Year IMAGES
Many of us are happy to have kicked 2011 to the curb, sort
of speak. A new year mean new beginnings for each of us. For example, some
people write down and or make resolutions and or goals to inspire them to do
something they have always wanted to do and or never dreamed of doing.
What about you? Did you make new year resolutions and if so,
what are they?
In keeping with one of my mentors, Dr. Wayne Dyer encourages
us to make daily goals. Dr. Dyer is on to something, daily goals are more
manageable and achievable and we will not be burdened with achieving big goals
in a couple of days, some resolutions require months to attain.
Approaching life on a daily basis is all we can do anyway
because we can only live one day at a time, we control nothing in the past and
our future is not guaranteed. Living one day at a time is the way to go, is my
new mantra for 2012.
A new year coincides with a new you. We can mutually agree,
change is constant and with that being said the new year represents a new you.
Why?
Great question and I will explain why a new year represents
a new you. We enjoy new beginnings and with this being the case we take on a
new persona about our self. In other words, we change with the times and this
is a good thing.
You have heard the saying, Out with the old, in with the
new. With the new year we have a fresh start, new beginning, new opportunities,
new friends, additions to our family, new job, you get the point.
One of the most important aspects of the new year may
consist of us having a new attitude towards life and the people in our life.
One of the most important things we can have is a positive attitude because it
defines who we are.
Case in point, in 2011 you may have been under a lot of
pressure to find a job and it did not materialize the way you thought it would.
Last year is in the past, this year with a little tweaking, you can move
forward finding the job you want and do it through intense networking, making
connections and simply giving your all to obtain the job you always wanted.
The new you in 2012 can represent the best you have ever
experienced because of one important thing, your new attitude. Be mindful of
this quote, "One can change the world only after they change themselves
and their approach to life." What about you, are you all in with your new
attitude?\
